Texas Aces Baseball Team Helps Build Homeless Shelter

— Bonham, Texas

Ai Media Group has been a co-sponsor of the Texas Aces baseball team for many years. One of the reasons behind this is the fact that the Aces do more than just play baseball. This select, traveling baseball squad has actively served their local community and helped with numerous international outreaches as well.

In Mid-September the team rolled up their sleeves and turned an old, dilapidated church into a high quality homeless shelter. A total of 10 players and three dads sawed, drilled and sliced for six hours adding new sheetrock to the entire building. The “Open Arms” Homeless Shelter is scheduled to open in October of 2019 in Bonham, TX.

Other team events that the Aces have been a part of include volunteering with the Special Needs Buddy Baseball League, paying for and packing more than 2,000 meals for the poorest of the poor in Central America with Su Refugio, and a Baseball Mission Trip to the Dominican Republic where they played baseball and donated more than 500 pounds of equipment to teams in and around Santo Domingo with Scope International.

On the field the Aces are 14-3 this Summer and Fall with a number of players hoping to earn college scholarships and play at the next level.
